A first version of the project proposal in the form of eight lists and a table from 1962
Possible titles:
- Some Approximate Detection Treshold Values
- The tick of a watch under quiet conditions at twenty feet
- Floaters in the eye
Possible final forms:
- 5 looping projections
- One for each sense described in the table
- Based on the detection tresholds described in the table
- Illustrating those tresholds
- Or using them as a starting point for a fiction
- An animated documentary explaining a phenomenon, such as:
- Floaters in the eye or other entoptic phenomena
- Persistance of vision
- Bee perception
- Possibly containing 'physical' elements:
- Reflection
- Shadow
- Zoetrope-like lo-tech shutter mechanisms
- Camera obscura image projection techniques
Topics I'd like to explore:
- Perception, visual predominantly
- Pre-cinematic devices
