Laurier Rochon I like networks, euphemisms, maps and CSS. Some time ago I went to technical school and learned a plethora of outdated skills - it was fun. I survived and moved on to art school, this time using conspicuously vague arguments to justify my work. Currently in Rotterdam, I am hoping to simultaneously learn new binary tricks and restore my faith in humanity.
Projects
- TIME OF OUR LIGHTS is a physical, yet metaphorical clock that scans live obituaries from the Web, displays the name of the deceased and uses a light display to embody those who have passed away. It is an homage to the deceased, a conceptual enthroning and a reminder of our own ephemeral, fragile condition.
