I told Simon about my Side Project: Space Siren Clip and came to the conclusion that I have to be careful not to let my energy go anywhere else then to my graduation project. It is could to use it to loosen things up, but don't let it dominate your other projects.

It might be better to do after graduation. And work on it in the background. It is good to have something after graduation.

I showed my result of the masterclas and the sketch I did for that.

( See: animations )

And I also showed the pictures Ii made for the side project. An outside location which I really like because of its dreamlike, dark, and fairytale atmosphere. Maybe I can use this in my work.

To solve the problem with depth while working with Plexiglas near the camera could be solved by using a mirror.

This will also give the ability to show the frame of the Plexiglas, and will show the use of material and technique very well. Which is very interesting in this project. If you leave that out, people will think the image is just composited, and will not raise the question: How is it made?, because they do not see anything which will help them questioning it. ( Like in the end result of the masterclass, nothing gives away that it is made on the glass of a door.

I should do more animation tests like this small test I did in Tilburg.

I will try something with a mirror, considering the fact that the camera is visible and I might be too. What role do I play? I have to interact or else I should not be in the image.

How can I include my love for stop motion puppet animation into this project? I am already using a scaled space, so that something to try out.
