What was gonna be my eye film and got shelved because of the election result but also because I wasn't really feeling it anymore.

It is a letter to Alice Guy(-Blaché), the person considered to be the first female filmmaker, and also inventor/developer of quite some important narrative techniques. I am fascinated by her position in film history and her (very realistic prophetic) fear of being written out of it. I feel less of a connection to her as a person and her style, which is why the project came to a halt somewhat. Instead of working more around her history and legacy, I will gladly take inspiration from one of her films in which a little girl ties back the fallen leaves to a tree, and use it in relation to my research about cyclical time and human needs to make this linear.
