REDACTED'S DIARY ENTRY 1

So I have no idea how to code. But then I just started going through the XPUB wiki and figuring out what the students and other teachers had done before. Extremely happy with my dropshadow addition to the schedule, which isn't really mine because I stole the code from someone else, a certain PLEUN.

I had a coffee at 10PM today and a panic attack last Friday, the day after we did the audio marginalia exercises with REDACTED's text, the one with all the descriptions of corpses from the recent extrajudicial killings back home. I had underestimated exactly how difficult this course would be. Reliving all the reasons why I left, remembering how corpses had become a daily feature on all of my news sources and Facebook timeline. While we were listening to the audio lecture and following the lecture manuscript in printed text, my face suddenly began to feel very hot. And a single emo hello kitty tear dropped onto my printed manuscript as we read in front of the students. I tucked my chin in and used my hands as a visor on my forehead.

The talk pages on Wikipedia are the only place in the REDACTED where I found some sort of hope. Against the obliteration of fact. Because there was a defense of a style of writing "uncreatively" about history, the culture of Wikipedia creates its own regulation against heated discussion. At least on the front pages. It is in the talk pages where emotion reigns. I guess I have a soft spot for the talk pages, these backstages to affect and passion. And so here we go. After all, you can't have a project about the REDACTED without some level of OA and oversharing. To reflect the cultural value structure of one's origin (and this project's destination) is necessary. Also, they do say tech spaces are overly masculine and superciliously aggressive. A small antidote. A stream of seemingly useless, hyperfeminized information.

In this strange land, emotion in public space is chastisable. But what of emotion in public space through a veil? Is that permissible?
