collection – lima
contact with artists and collection
Questionnaire to have technical information

case:
Peter Struycken, SHFT 34 (1982-2007)
Diversity of platforms was tested (Linux ubuntu and debian, Windows, Mac OS X)

Access : decision to deliver it on a small pc for presentation, Linux has been selected because it was easier and required no license cost. Ssd, i3 processor, hdmi and mini display.
Files are also checked twice a year and copied on a server.

Research keeps going. Projects are very collaborative.
Digital art is often
- undercollected
- undercounted
- undermanaged
- unpreserved
- inaccessible

Change is rapid and constant:
- be prepared to meet each work on its own needs
- formal standards per se are not the answer
- promote interdisciplinary collaboration
- work with the artist
- cross train collaborating experts
- develop institutional knowledge and embrace it
- embrace uncertainety and take action - cooperate
