he place runs residencies, programs, workshop, everything is free.
The idea of building a collection arose in 2002.
Old works can be CD-ROMs, purchase were established in very classical ways.
2 copies were done during the purchase (one for access one for storage)

At the beginning of the purchase, a questionnaire is given to the artist to gather infos.

The collection has other modalities to exist now, also outside the computer.
→ printed material, booklets, teaching files

Why buying works that can be seen freely?
Making a collection for the public and mediating about it.
Multiplicity is part of digital creation, being part of a collection is being part of a story rather than just being viewable. It may be preserved which may not be done by the artists themselves
It also supports contemporary creation.
