This year I would like to have clear idea what I will investigate further during the upcoming year.!!!
"Be honest with yourself and with the others 80% of the work is already done."
Aymeric: concentrate on Erase traces what does that mean for you? In the context of the "Erase traces" if you can unfold this you will eventually find a way to reach to dense and heavy themes about public - private, surveillance, control-power, exercise of power, media, the role of media
- go personal look at the notion of Exiles/ Home and Adorno's term about cosmopolitanism
French low YOU ARE ALLOWED TO FORGET!
note: Be more explicit!
What is the main subject of Erase// from where it comes that fascination?
Main direction: Erase traces( rather abstract, but poetic and open for numbers of interpretation)
General notes
Data Entry: research on how to completely erase your data from the operating system.rmv command does not delete the file permanently" or non-restorable. Interesting fact is that there is a command line "shred" ( available only on linux ), poorly used because of its damaging consequences. Shred erases all the information, by overwriting 20 times or so. There is no "shred" command in OS x instead there is a replacement or security remove command called srm. In comparison with Mac OS x, based on Unix system, a file could be overwritten only 3 times at the time. In relationship to that I find interesting approach of how to defeat the by information overflow or noising the channel instead of trying to denoise it: .
Interesting observation and claim that the only way to defeat or perform a resistance against surveillance is actually to expose yourself and to feed the system with is references:interview with Matthew Fuller with Eva and from 01 collective Live_sharing project by 0101010101.org
==system knowledge&understanding terms [connected with erase, erase data, erase traces]:==
'data erasure' term - or the only way to erase data permanently is physically to destroy a hard disk drive. There are machines for destroying a data or mechanically
In the past shredders were used to destroy confidential, secret papers now there are replaces by data shredders.
this could lead to interesting investigation and violence of privacy by trying to access someone's data by restoring the data from the unknown device and hardrive. Questions about e-waste and digital recycling, digital trash ....data recycling. Except the physical implementation of data storages of digital trash outrageously sent to remote areas in Africa nevertheless there is the ethical issue or to what extend you have the right to !
