It is good wiki practice to make "subpages" of your "User page" for pages where you are the primary author and their mostly related just to yourself and your work (as opposed to pages that are shared and edited by many).
Some advantage of subpages:
- They automatically provide navigation links to return to your User page allowing for simple "mini-websites".
- They are not automatically included in wiki search results, making their content less public.
To create a subpage from your User page
- Click on your user name (top-right corner of the page) to go to your User page (like your homepage on the wiki).
- Click Edit Source.
- Add a link to a sub page by putting a slash at the start of the name of the page, such as:
[[/Thesis first draft]]
You now have a a red-link to the page User:You/Thesis first draft. Click on the link and create the page. Notice that there should be a link back ot your user page at the top.
