Tessel-project proposal
I want to make a multi screen video installation with my macro abstract images. It will be a collection of images on a few screens placed together. I want to research if it is possible to catch an emotion or feeling of a person in the combination of the images.
I am first planning to do some more experiments. Experiments with the images I already have on multiple screens. But I also want to experiment with my filming method. My method consists of going to a place, shoot small video’s of details and tape a conversation with the person in that place. I will look for abstract moving images to film, combined with more realistic images. https://youtu.be/sP00VzRK8b4
I am planning to experiment in October and November and then decide what my main topic will be. In December I will film extra footage. In January I will start with brining it all together. Mix and remix, like making a collage.
I want to make this because I want to convey the feelings with images and sound. I don’t want to make a documentary. The aesthetics of the images are equally important to the stories and feelings they share with me.
I want some people to help me with better quality audio. I have already asked a friend to check my material and talk about improving it.
This is all in relation to my other work because I am using my own visual language/macrovideography (which I developed over time) to depict someone’s feeling or a story. The larger context I can’t see yet.
