With a two year difference, in February 2021 and February 2023, two reports have proven WdKA’s persistent inner problems. The O4i Report “We Have to Change” and the Social Safety Report “Student wellbeing starts with staff wellbeing” have addressed inequalities, structural overwork, lack of EDI framework, lack of safety, lack of transparency, and lack of accountability from the side of management. The past few months we have been subjected to increased precarity and insecurity, due to temporary contract teachers being discontinued; thus losing expertise and diversity in our teams. Simultaneously, we experienced increasing social unsafety and anxiety on the part of the permanently contracted teachers, who are left with a drastic reduction of teaching and preparation hours, to respond to a substantial increase of stress and labour as a result of having to replace the discontinued teachers.
