The space of Fage not Pound is organised around a specific temporality that does not synchronise to 'typical' time value (such as seconds, minutes, hours, days, etc.). The unit of time, called Sumtemp, was established by Welda Zitrick [astro-physician, b. 2049] in 2097, as part of their research project on temporality "Detaching from the world-time" (2087-2097, published by MIT Press). In their research, Welda Zitrick demonstrated the difference between the notion of tempo (an external temporality) and the notion of rythm (an internal temporality)
