The Ganzfeld effect consists in creating a sensorial deprivation with a plain sound/visual experience, using ping-pong balls for the eyes, a red light , and white noise. The mask in this case was just used to maintain the ping-pong balls. It is a long experiment (30 min) in which you will experience soft allucination induced by your brain in absence of stimulations.

Whit these hackpacts I wanted to test some experiment which push the boundaries of what we consider our usual state of mind. The brain can be tricked letting us perceive things we are not really perceiving, therefore we can experiment directly how our brain creates what we see or perceive. Of course, the physical reality exists but to make an example, the act of seeing is not in the eyes but in the visual cortex.

Rubber Hand

The Rubber Hand experiment create a sort of out of body experience where you feel the fake hand as part of your own body. I’ve searched the element you need to perform this experiment and tried it a couple of times. The idea is to reproduce it, with other experiments (see 4.2), and document it as part of a physical approach to see how the brain creates limit experiences separated from the actual physical event happening and tricking what you feel.

Ganzfeld Effect

The Ganzfeld effect consists in creating a sensorial deprivation with a plain sound/visual experience, using ping-pong balls for the eyes, a red light, and white noise. The mask, in this case, was just used to maintain the ping-pong balls. It is a long experiment (30 min) in which you will experience soft hallucination induced by your brain in the absence of stimulations.
