Plein Air Sketching (20230929)
My first station skill was at an unconventional station (or more conventional -- a painful reminder I'm not living in Rotterdam atm): Rotterdam Centraal. We were tasked with some plein air sketching exercises. I particularly liked those that resticted me to 30s only. It wasn't as uncomfortable as I had experienced open air sketching in the past. I got excited to test out some grey scale brush pens I had laying around on these sketches.
Lasercutting (20231011)
Lasercutting (lateinevening). Alessia was there too. I'd like to make a stamp, I think. We worked on some ideas for a case for chopchop (see also this earlier experiment).
Ceramics (20231026/20231102)
Fire stoneware for stuff you want to eat from. All clay at the station is suitable for stoneware. The big pots of glaze will mix, the tall tubes will stay in place. Keep your gaze on the graceful glaze. In the kiln, scary chemistry will happen. Don't glaze too close to the bottom.
Woodworking(20231108/20231115)
