| Vassili.
| |
|
| |
|
| Vassili is a music video I have been making for my own music. It is a piece of three minutes animation. It is the story of a square head man, living in an industrial city, ruled by robots. He runs into the city searching for a magical stone that will later on, transport him in another dimension where he will dance naked. The animation has been thanks to rotoscopy.

| Théodore & Rosemary’s Orchard.
| |
|
| |
| The first thing I had to do for this project was to find a story. This was the basis to all the coming process. I have always wanted to work on the XVIIIth century but a lot of people had already done it so well that I decided not to focus on it. So, inspired by a jazzy song one of my friend had recommand to me, I followed this way and this led me to the actual «Theodore» story, which if we had to date the whole universe would be something between 1930’s, 1950’s and 1970’s but I didn’t want to put a time etiquette to the movie. The universe would kind of summarize all these epoques.
| |
| The story I firstly thought about, had to be cut and made shorter because I was not sure I will have time to finish it until the deadline and I really wanted to deliver a final object.
| |
| Here is the first story, at least the main points.
| |
| I focused on the lyrics of the song, so there would be a thief that would go into an orchard in order to steal some fuits. Than he would send these fruits via a rocket to his manor/factory. Then he would discharge them with the help of his goblin slaves before having dinner and getting shot by the owner of the orchard. Althought the scenario was very simple, the realization would have taken a lot more time, so I decided to cut the long story short.
| |
| The second and final version of the story took the first part of the first one, but I decided to kill the thief before he would get back home and we would finally realize that the whole story, in fact was a dream.
