This week, thursday 22 and friday 23 i will be giving a workshop on Robotics and Modular Machines. | |||
And with a grand finale and a small presentation on the Open Day, saturday the 24th. | |||
And it will be fun™! | |||
This workshop will be the starting-point for a course i will be teaching for the next couple of years, | |||
and as such, all of the LB & NM first years should be there on thursday. In the big Project Room, at 11:00 | |||
I can completely understand that Robotics and Machines may not be of interest to everybody, | |||
but i still want you all to take part in the introduction-lecture on thursday morning. | |||
After that, if you can convince me that you're really not interested, you are free to go & do other things. | |||

Here is a brief outline of the plan for these 3 days: | |||
- thursday morning: | |||
11:00 Introduction to Robotics and Modular Design, in the large Project Room. For all 1st years LB & NM. | |||
Any 2nd years are very welcome too, of course. And maybe some FA students might also be interested. | |||
- thursday afternoon: | |||
Brainstorming; What would we like to build. Can we divide-up a Big Idea into smaller units (modules) and build those? | |||
Dividing the class into groups/teams that will each work on a Module. | |||
Start of building & hacking. Proof-of-concept phase. |

This week, thursday 22 and friday 23 i will be giving a workshop on Robotics and Modular Machines. And with a grand finale and a small presentation on the Open Day, saturday the 24th.

I can completely understand that Robotics and Machines may not be of interest to everybody, but i still want you all to take part in the introduction-lecture on thursday morning. After that, if you can convince me that you're really not interested, you are free to go & do other things.
