hackpakt #1: Library-DB

It's a mini project I started in order to learn how databases work and at the same time experiment with different ways of structuring data in order to map my interests and get started with the writing of the project proposal. The exercises I made include the use of sqlite3, python, and flask.

I started to do some tutorials to learn how to develop simple databases with one-to-many and many-to-many structures.

In parallel I tried to keep track of the process and document the steps and the thoughts I had while learning how to code with databases. I inistially started to do this inside the code itself commenting and numerating the steps, then I realized it was a complete mess difficult to read, so I started to write a log diary in a separated .md file

Reflecting on the relation between hosting, curating, collecting data and documenting with Kimberley.

During the first Public Moment at Leeszaal, we designed a menu-map building up on the metaphor of the soup dinner that we used to invite people to our event, and trying to combine our interests. Our guests were welcomed, presented the space and the contribution of the evening through the menu-map, and were invited to draw connections and take note on it too. At the end of the evening, a carbon copy of the guests' annotation of the evening has been collected.

Followed a reflection on the results we had, and on how to continue with more intentions in a second version for the next Public Moment at Buitenboel.

An artistic research on crunchiness, intimate collection of data, cute crappy performative storytelling, disguised as infiltration into different cultural organization and art spaces.

crunchy parasites. (Actually I'm super afraid of crunchy insects)
