We start by drawing a proper file, so the laser cutter can know what we want to do. | |||
Start in Illustrator or Incscape. | |||
3 squares, one into another. | |||
the centre one - paint in black - to engrave. | |||
we make the border of the middle square in blue - to kiss-cut it. | |||
and finally, paint the border of the third (outer) square in red - to cut it out completely. | |||

Three basic techniques: Engraving Cutting Kiss-cutting
We start by drawing a proper file, so the laser cutter can know what we want to do. Start in Illustrator or Incscape.
3 squares, one into another. the centre one - paint in black - to engrave. we make the border of the middle square in blue - to kiss-cut it. and finally, paint the border of the third (outer) square in red - to cut it out completely.
