It is interesting that the Epub format maintain its unity but actually it is a collection of files. The Epub is basically a zip file containing folders and the text in HTML.

  • Understand how the Epub format works.
  • Explore how we could expand the content of an Epub allowing us to collect notes, videos, sounds, other texts inside the zip file.
  • Explore how those content can be visualized when the Epub is compressed.
  • Re-think a system to allow annotation through HTML's (see the past annotating reader I was working on: multiple layers of HTML to allow multiple annotations).
