The chapter six - TV’s constitution of Citizenship introduces us to the main features of “ self – constitution”, group – government, and reinventing own government trough Reality TV. The text explores an actual function of reality TV or how it shapes or transforms current government such as households, neighborhoods, workplaces and other social structures. Furthermore the aim is to set a variety of rules, strategies and examples of stereotypes of sufficient social behavior or how to become “good”, productive and responsible citizenship in the process of “reinventing own government” or creating new personal constitution. There are various of references of popular TV broadcasts related to the subject. For instance TV shows as Survivor, The Apprentice and Top Chief could be alighted as an example of games of group governance. Social games or behavior experiments, where players have to share collective sense, takе part of community and at the same time to remain their self – reliant or how to become the most “self-actualized” citizen in order to win the game. On the other hand reality formats such as Wife Swap and Supernanny focus on modifying one’s constitution or the rules of life and order at the household. This leads to the idea of approving technology of the self or the constitution of the self.
