Declarative Companions 6/1

Describe in English a chosen companion object - an object that accompanies you in your daily life, in your practice, in your social life, that you cherish; or a space; This description must be:

  • Short, between 8 and 12 simple sentences, using simple words
  • Formal, describing the formal characteristics of the object (the shapes of its various parts; its uses; its possible movements; its sensitive ergonomics: hardness, texture, smell, weight, etc.)
  • Sensitive, talks about the personal bond we have with the object

My companion is made out of metal and glass. Its shape consists of two ovals that are connected by a short metallic curve and two longer metallic sticks. It also has two small, clear silicon pads that turn yellow over time. It apprears hard and stiff, but it is actually pliable if you put some pressure on it. Its texture is slick and it's cold to the touch. It doesn't give off any particular smell and it is fairly light. It is a vital companion for my day to day and it helps me see clearly and understand the world around me. It keeps me safe and grounded. I am quite dependant of my companion, even though I tend to mistreat it at times.
