Pippin Barr asks:

How do you currently document your design/artistic practice?

→ I write on paper, I have multiple notebooks and journals. My practice is super messy, and I tend to craft something precise from the mess in the pages. I write a lot of questions that i then try to answer (sometimes), and when I answer them, most of the time it's through texts and images (Graphic Designer here yay). I then document the final results of a process with images again, taking pictures. Right now, most of my documentation is offline, as I'm having a hard time building an online presence I'm happy with. But I have images everywhere in my laptop.

Could you bring or describe a specific example in class?

→ This notebook is a practice/research tool in itself, but most of my archiving and documentation is physical, so it's harder to move around. I have all of my design projects in my bedroom lol.

How do you feel about the way you do it right now logistically?

→ It works cause it's still small scale, but it won't hold forever. As time passes, it's becoming harder to keep track of everything, but I don't know where to go with it, as I don't want my documentation process to cost me anything (like hosting a website).

What is your approach to reflecting on your design/artistic practice? Could you bring an example of how you have made a specific design decision?

→ I'm a crafty person, so most of my practice revolves around making things myself and from scratch. I recently started knitting, and though knitting and reading and trying things out with XPUB, I have started to work on different techniques with my knitting, all inspired by punch cards and the matrix printer. I know it's not revolutionary, but it's a way for me to evolve in my work.
