Performer: It's showtime! (FAR FROM MIC: this is exciting!)
Protocoller: Enable the volume on the main mixing board.
Navigator: On it. [PAUSE]. Performer, is any sound heard via the monitor headset?
Performer: [MAKES WEIRD ALIEN NOISES].

If no: 

Performer: No... I'm not able to hear myself.
Navigator: That's no good, we need to fix that. Protocoller?
Protocoller: Debug -- Restart.

If yes: 

Performer:  Yep, I'm able to hear myself loud and clear!
Navigator: Perfect, we should be ready then. Protocoller?
Protocoller: Commence Introduction Protocol.
