| Bio | Alecio Ferrari [IT] (Milan, 1995) is a photographer and visual researcher. His photographs swing between still life compositions, documentary and portraiture.
His artistic practice gravitates around the themes of nature < > culture dualism and the ambivalent relationship of man towards nature. His imagery is conceived as a hybrid of real and imaginary, playing around with both staged and unstaged scenarios. With an attentive use of the light and analogue shooting techniques he merges together personal works and assignments. |

How humans converse a natural environment into cultural material? Slices of Dust it is a photographic research minerals and gemstones culture, its collection, conservation and trade. At a time of ecological fragility, this project is understood as a collective process to rethink the relationships between humans and non-humans, ecosystems and their environments.
