Installation

Installing with pip

sudo pip install pil

Debian/Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install python-imaging

Windows

There's a set of windows installers on the main PIL site.

Gentoo

Installing in Gentoo:

emerge imaging

Macintosh

It depends a lot on the version of Mac OS you are running, but installing homebrew would be a good idea.
