What it will be.

‘I'm here’* is a short film exploring the concept of subconscious ignorance and the ideas of being present. It investigates the lack of our ability to take conscious action on tasks that we deem important ranging from the mundane like watering our plants to more crucial ones like quitting a bad habit like smoking etc. The goal would be to create a bridge between the subconscious and conscious thought and make the audience aware and of this bridge.

Why do you want to make it.

I have been exploring the idea of subconscious control and conscious action in the context of addiction and psychotherapy. How certain patterns of behaviour are so ingrained in our dopaminergic systems that an individual only gets brief moments of clarity where they are able to assess and realise the impact of their behaviour and how in those moments its very important to take constructive action. The ephemerality of these moments makes it very hard to realise when they arrive and even harder so to utilise their potential. Through this film I hope to make the audience aware of this phenomena and hopefully create a live experience of such effects.
