A platform for rail passengers

I want to develop a platform that offers the possibility to "connect" two passengers that have the same or complementary interests.

Example A

A mathematics student travels by train from Berlin to Frankfurt and could meet a maths teacher who -by pure chance- is taking the same train to exchange ideas

Example B

A 8 year old child travels without parents from Hamburg to Munich as well as an older couple who are willing to watch over the child for that time.

Why trains?

time that can be use more effectively (time can't not be used differently; you have to be in the train)
it requires a little effort (you don't have to go somewhere to get coaching
different generations take the train regularly => different levels of knowledge
