Lens-Based Mentor Seminar 2024-25
Schedule for the day: 10.00 - 11.00 introduction to the aim of Mentor Seminar
11.00 - 17.00 Divide into mentor groups and everyone (staff and students) makes a 20min presentation about their practice and reseach interests. The 20 minute presentation to your mentor group is an opportunity to familiarise both your mentors and your mentor student peer group with your current practice and research interests and your ambitions for the coming year.
Make sure you share examples of recent work you have made as well as contextual material that illustrates your research interests.
You should see the presentation as a chance to open up a productive conversation about your work. There will be time for a Q&A after your presentation.
For staff it's a chance to show an overview of their practice that allows students to engage more productively with them as mentors.
