Outside event: 20:00 Under the radar and below the underground, at De Nieuwe Ruimte, a new art and new music space in new Rotterdam.

Dear friends, Our third Under the Radar event features an exciting juxtaposition and combination of electronic sound art and melodic acoustic improvisation.

Location: Dordtselaan 19, Rotterdam-Zuid Time: Saturday October 3, 2015 from 20:00 Entrance: 7 euros (all proceeds go to the artists performing, this event is unsubsidized, additional contributions are welcome).

Lama Trio is an exquisite, chamber-like, electro-acoustic jazz trio consisting of double bassist and bandleader Gonçalo Almeida, trumpeter Susana Santos Silva and drummer Greg Smith. Lama Trio's initial release on Clean Feed Records (CFR) was the successful and well-acclaimed 'Oneiros' (2011). With Galm Quartet and various other projects I perform improvised music. Tjong Pow is improvised electronic music with interconnected systems, Zoodio was a big installation project with Roel van Doorn that reflected our shared ambivalent position towards technology. My work has been published on Must Die [UK], Wachsender Prozess [DE], Another Shape Records [CH] and in the Computer Music Journal.
