Notes of: "The Historical A Priori and the Archive", by Michel Foucault.

different authors communicate by the form of positivity of their discourse

positivity plays the role of a historical a priori

a priori as a condition of reality for statements

discourse doesn't have only a meaning or a truth but also a history

archive as systems that establish statements as events and things

the archive is first the law of what can be said, the system that governs the appearance of statements as unique events.

the archive is that which defines at the outse the system of its enunciability

the archive defines the mode of occurrence of the statment-thing; it is the system of its functioning.

the archive is the general system of the formation and transformation of statements.

archeology: a description that questions the already-said at the level of its existence

archeology describes discourses as practices psecified in the elemtn of the archive
