Kant after Duchamp - Thierry de Duve

Working Method

The working method that I used during the last year of my bachelor is the method that I still use but maybe in a different way. The way that I worked during that time was by looking and roaming around urban areas to find buildings that I could use for a photograph. I than made test that I cropped and printed to see if it would work the way that I wanted, the next step was to photograph it with a technical camera that gave me lost of precision. I still kind of work the same the difference might be that instead of looking and roaming around I am now more thinking and experimenting in areas, like a darkroom for example but I still have to make the prototypes to be able to see if something is going to work or not. In my work there is both a lot of precision and accuracy but it is no science, so at the same time there’s a lot of inaccuracy because almost everything I do is judged by sight and not by facts.
