AQUARIUM 1.0
1. What are they looking at?
Introduce Dar Il Hanin, meditation garden, 1983
and then Habbo hotel’s picnic area. (a virtual world online made in 2000)
2. Why are these good examples?
Richard England's building was a utopia for what architecture could be while Habbo is a utopia for internet worlding
Both were made when things were forming or changing- Malta’s landscape and the internet
Both were left abandoned and one was eventually demolished to make way for modern takes on both fields.
3. What I need from them?
Is it obvious which is virtual & which is physical?
If you were given the keys to an abandoned virtual space with no governing body to dictate what you may or may not do, what would you do here?
Would you come to relax?
To form a community, to create? Etc
