Nowhere Fast

Presentation

During the vist of Michelle Teran and Seda Gürses at the Piet Zwart, we held a performance together with Amy Suo Wu, based on Youtube. With the thematic of the route and the tracing of someone, we selected a bunch of videos, projected it while drawing a path on two maps fixed on the wall.

The project

The idea was to travel the world, departing from Rotterdam, trying only to follow where the videos were leading us. As a starting point we chose the samed Youtube video :

The result is a 20 minutes performance, where the travel of Amy and mine were projected in parallel. As the projection was going on, we both draw our route in the wall. At the end of the performance, Amy managed to return to Rotterdam after some nice local rides, including a fireman truck, while I ended up in Brazil after a plane crash.
