| Nr. 39 with Rice is a cabinet of curiosity based on a public event from Holland Got Talent in 2013. The total body of work consists of works from different media. On one level/at first the work is commenting on what happened during the talentshow. The works that point back to this event is the slomo video, the photoserie for example. A deeper layer focuses on my personal experiences,background and my effort to connect to the Chinese community. The work that represents this layer the most is the videowork with my father.

| In this work my father goes back to his old profession as a chef and cook a dish of his mind. This dish is called Number 39. The video portraits the preparation and cookinf of the dish from A to Z. At the endscene my father decorates the plate and serves the dish at the table. Then 2 new videos are possible to being made.
