I just finished my latest work "worldpeace" which marks a change in my working practice. I will point out the new strategies I used in relation to my previous working practice and I will take a look at how this shift can inform my future work.

Throughout the past years I have been developing a photo practice which involves photographing other people as well as taking self portraits. As for photographing others, I prefer to work with real people instead of professional models. Finding people to pose and finding or creating settings for a session is an important aspect of the practice. Recurring themes in my works are desire, sexuality, gender and representation. For my work ''Exceptional Encounters'' I contacted men on an online sex-dating website with the request to photograph them naked in hotel room. The act of photographing was embedded in a performative plot loaded with a sense of secrecy, fantasy and role play. I, the artist, am just as much of a projection screen for my male sitters as they are XXX to me.
