What?

What is a protocol? How does it connect? What are the relationship between online and "real life" protocols? Can we link these two realms? Also can we write a script on "the order of things" in a protocol? Can we mix these universes? In this three day workshop on protocol Wendy Van Wynsberghe will give a gentle introduction on how she likes to slow down and analyze the moment of greeting. The thinking exercices will be interlaced with electronics that connect this physical reality of social conventions to current and volt, bits and bytes. Stock and Wendy will introduce you to the smell of solder. Michael and Aymeric will add some protocol sauce.

Who?

Wendy Van Wynsberghe is an artist and member of Constant vzw. In 2000 she started volunteering on regular basis for the organization, since 2004 she became a core member, partially responsible for Constant’s electronic/physical reality. She’s involved in a partnership that organizes open hardware workshops, called Ellentriek, together with De Pianofabriek Kunstenwerkplaats where artists work together on their projects, mostly thematic. She works with electronics, textile, sound, open hardware, using only free software, all work under a free art license. http://capacitor.constantvzw.org

• Continue on the protocol mash-up electronics version
• presentation and documentation
