The photobook I choose to present is Baba, by Vesselina Nikolaeva. I chose it because it relates to my personal research. The book is about her great grandmother, or as she says a loveletter to her great grandmother. The book form is a harmonica outlay, which I find interesting, because in Icelandic great grandmother is "long grandmother", and I wonder if in Bulgaria it is the same. Also this format suits the book well, as it has a long timeline on the back, so you can lay it out to see. The paper choise is thick matte paper, which I think also works well as with age your skin becomes thick and matter. It has beautiful photographs of her grandma but never showing her face, somehow it makes it more personal and intimate. It also features pictures of her house, and also what I think is her surroundings, one of the photos is of an old forest.
