These images are screenshots made with the night vision setting on my Sony FDR-AX33 videocamera.

Night vision works with infrared rays which allows to record in the dark.
Sony once launched a night vision camcorder in 1998 that was able to see through people's clothes, they sold 700.000 of these.
Fortunately night vision is now combined with an extra infrared light built in the camera, so that this is not possible anymore.
This does show that night vision has a high see-through potential.

The left image is a night vision screenshot in black and white.
The middle image is a night vision screenshot in black and white with higher green and cyan tones (night vision records mainly in green tones).
The right image is a night vision screenshot in black and white inversed with very high green and cyan tones.
