Festival
Open-source text to speech project http://www.cstr.ed.ac.uk/projects/festival/ .
Festival can be used in 3 modes:
- interactive
- pipe from stdin
- saving to file
$ cat letter.txt | text2wave | lame - file.mp3
- text2wave - convert text to .wav files
- lame - converts .wav to mp3
- server
text2wave <<O | mplayer -cache 8192 -
All electrical and mechanical systems here are now under my control.
