Practice Based Research Focus Group: 14:30 - 16:00 with Simon in the large project space

Just a reminder that this Monday afternoon is the first Practice Based Research Focus Group.

This focus group will engage in an ongoing interrogation of the various uses of research within artistic practice. Here’s the link with details, and a link to a text we will use as the basis for an opening discussion.

We’ll also try and lay out some basic approaches to how we as a group want to investigate this topic.

These focus groups are informal and there’s no obligation to attend - but I hope we can foster an interesting department-wide conversation about what ‘practice based research in the arts’ might — or might not — be.
