1984
The book everyone nowadays is familiar with, because it has been mentioned with a lot of cultural events in the past years as reference material. It deals with the surveillance idea that we are now living in. Back then it was nothing like it is these days, and that’s why this book is one of its own.

THE FENCE
A photograph that displays invisible control. It displays a strong electromagnetic radar field which tracks space crafts. It was produced as a collaboration between the photographer Trevor Paglen and radio astronemers. The light was taken from the low frequencies to the visible spectrum.

2001: A SPACE ODDYSEY
This film leaves you wondering what you have just seen. Whilst in space the main character shifts from the astronaut to the computer that controls the space craft, and uses its technology to do its own will. The astronaut who becomes a symbol for ‘men’ finds strength to shut the computer down – and in that sense the whole of technology. It has been said to be a film about future influence of technology ( which in my opinion is the truth) but is has even been said to be search for God (which, when you see the end – could also well be the case)
