Bonsai

Introduction

Bonsai (tray planting)is a Japanese art form using trees grown in containers. Similar practices exist in other cultures, including the Chinese tradition of Penjing from which the art originated, and the miniature living landscapes of Vietnamese. The Japanese tradition dates back over a thousand years.

In this essay, there will be:

  1. Introduction: Bonsai can be seen as an artificial nature, the nature of imagination. It is almost perfect, good balance, beautiful curve, even people put deep meaning or hope inside it. As a Chinese, I like Bonsai(or Penjing in Chinese), for me it is vividly dead, the growing trace of plants are planned by people, they are alive and also being deformed by people.
