== Introduction ==
Subculture developing in China through out networks, magazines, and fashion industry. In Internet age, the Propaganda still being produced by mass media, different cultural voices are still being strictly controlled by government as the past 20 years. Subculture always survive in between the gap, its main developing space is to find the mainstream organization to cooperate with, for example fashion or entertainment industry. What's interesting differed from the western subculture is, Chinese subculture audiences are mostly influenced by Western subculture in between 1970-2000s. After decades, Chinese rock'n'roll happened since 1990s, first brought in by some young westerners. And part of the representative of the western subculture, such as the black culture, are equivalent of a second-hand transpass and be distorted and utilized within this situation.China never go through any Sextual revolution or large-scale Feminism movement, subculture spreading on network, cultural products, and also build up the so-called "Beijing street kid"'s dream about the west.
What are you working on now?
Collect examples about the subculture thematic, try to find both sociology, psychology, history related information. Besides, I have a short movie script which I wrote 3 years ago that I want to develop to my first animation experiment. I'm learning After Effects.
What do you want your first project to be?
I'm not sure about the title of my first project. Maybe the animation I mentioned above. Or maybe a creative writing about the stories of Beijing street kids and subculture, (there are plenty of insane stories I've seen and heard about). OR try to use different tools to express emotions, such as how to pass on sad by different medium(music,language,color,bodylanguage,visual effects)...
How do you plan to make it?
Affter Effects, Finalcut, WORD. Narrative is my inclination. Trained by film school, my critical ability is too limited. So I'll try to concentrate on the more the project itself, try to make the content meaningful.
