Black & white RGB Commercials

Or live is influence by colours, but where are not always aware of that fact. If you pay attention you will notice it more. Every colour what you see is thought of, at specially in advertisement. It can influence you feelings and emotion, by using certain colours in their messages.

What about the black-white time, when TV-commercials where not in colour. Is the message/add clear, and are they influencing or feelings? But what happens when the colours are off? Creates it’s than a different message, like a second hidden message? Can I create an imaginary relation to the real conditions of existence? The colours fictions is to give you a dreaming-imaginary feeling to the commercials. All the different media is following us and will hunt you in your dreams, want it to influence you.

My inspiration for the first version was Pink Elephants on Parade from the Disney Movie Dumbo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJv2Mugm2RI

Some observation from the first version:

- The shades from the bedroom work nice

- The transition from the sleeping boy to the dream, can be better

- Dishwasher work great

- In the beginning you see a lot of mechanical devices that where very new for that time. It’s a nice contrast with the broken beamer.

- After the mechanical part it’s about the human, and the video because more a evolution from the human.

- The plaster commercial works really nice

- The female egg where the seeds are swimming to becomes three seeds by the colours.

- Then the food part begins it becomes maybe a little bit confusing. It’s not something mechanical, also not the dancing part.

But what’s it about?

Now I know what the beamer does and doesn’t, and now I can figure out the context. The old commercials are nostalgic and appealing from itself, and some footage works and some not. Do you want to make a video specially for the beamer or what kind of story do you want to tell with it? Also think about the fond footage, what do they say?
