【大都会 English script】第五章:镜头中的自然 Nature in the Camera Lens
<Introduction> With the invention of photography in the nineteenth century, artists had a new tool at their disposal for representing the natural world. While often thought of as nature's mirror, even photography is shaped by the hand and eye of the artist. The photographer chooses where to stand, the angle of view, the composition and cropping of the scene, technical details of film and exposure, and above all, the lighting. The word "photography" derives from the Greek for "writing with light," and so despite the technology involved, photography is a form of art made of nature.
for the various manifestations of the theme of nature in art are recapitulated in this one medium: idealization, animals, gardens and flowers, and landscape.
