The Mammoth Book of Alternate Histories
The book contains many short stories of alternate histories. The stories which have done most impression on me are those with protagonists who feel the transition between alternate timelines on a conscious level; for example the description could be a transition between you and an alternate you living in a timeline where the Third Reich only persecuted their jewish population to a limited degree, then regretted their actions and instead worked towards building a brighter egalitarian civilization. Then as you (the protagonist) know THIS you is you, your 'soul' is ripped back to your timeline in excruciating mental pain where the memories of the Third Reich's atrocities still existed. What else has caught my eye are those stories which have shown an alternate mentality due to a certain event never happening in the alternate timeline, like the fall of Rome. Alternate Histories orginate from the nostalgic, regretful question of "what if?". Without the fall of Rome there might never occur a need for Alternate History as there would have be no regrets for a Roman, historically. There would be nostalgia but no regret, and so that would be the reason why the protagonist of this story (an author) never understands the concept of alternate history, even when a genius presents this unique concept to him.

Linkin Park collab w/ Project Spark: 'Guilty All the Same' - Linkin Park (feat. Rakim) - Linkin Park - "Guilty All The Same" (feat. Rakim) [Project Spark: Linkin Park Version
Paradisciplinary collab between musicians and game creator tool, also collab between the art of making game videos and music videos. This video is a music video, but also a game playthrough clip. It shows a paradisciplinary cooperation between level creators of Project Spark and the nu-rap music band Linkin Park. What caught me was the entertainment value of the video and how both industries have fostered their own strengths in abstractly expressing a narrative with one making a music video and one making a promotional game video. Visually this was certainly a promotional video for Project Spark's game creator tool, but by synching the gameplay with Linkin Park's music and allowing Linkin Park to use the clip as a music video the two missions seem to meld together into a ripping mix.

Warriors - 2014 World Championship (Imagine Dragons) - 2014 World Championship (Imagine Dragons)
The video is a promo of the World Championship in League of Legends, a strategy game which is played in e-sports much like starcraft. The purpose behind it is quite clear, to promote the World Championship, but the subtext and the structure and aesthetics is quite similar to material sports championship promo videos. This reminds me how mainstream electronic sports are becoming, coming ever closer (though still far) to competing with sports in viewership (exception: South Korean e-sports which is already competing with sports). The narrative of the movie is an animated analogy between the gamer and their character persona he/she creates in the game, fighting their battles in animated battles. Many juxtapositions are made between the gamer's real actions and their game persona's actions, back and forth. The juxtapositions give quite an interesting look at the perceived plural virtual and material peronalities gamers use to express themselves.
