Janis Klimanovs (LV) looks through an optical lens and creates a mix of still and moving images. The field of interest is to observe and capture pure, innocent actions that arise from daily life. Duality and gentle irony are important elements in his work.
abstract
Memories vanish with time. Interpretation of memory is based on stories, documents and images. I returned to my roots and discovered what kinds of memories are important for them. I am collating and channeling these stories and creating my own archive of memories.
