With unconcealed pride music-platform KIKVORS and WORM Parallel University (WPU) present KIKVORS 3.0: In The Key Of Casio; A manic day with workshops and concerts concerning everybody’s favorite musical children’s toy: the casio-keyboard. The eventful event will begin in the afternoon of Saturday, the 16th of February with a casio-workshop by casio-expert Bertin. In this workshop an introduction will be given to lo-fi casio music and participants will join in creating an actual casio-composition. The result will be performed at the start of the concert evening during a live performance. Bertin himself will also perform a set during the event. Besides him the evening will bring Dion & The Magic Chords to the stage with an exclusive casio-show. Around 23.00 there will be a showing of the VHS-classic ‘Casio Play Today Video Series – An Introduction To Your Casio Tone Bank Keyboard With Jay Levy’, followed by ‘Pinda-casio – de curieuze casio-catastrofe’, a joyful mish-mash of performance, jam-session, moving image and social intervention. Stringing the event together is DJ-duo Jan Solo + Frau Holle who will be there to play lo-fi electronic music for as long as they can. KIKVORS 3.0 is not to be missed by anyone who thinks 8 bit is more than enough!
