"Multitude" is a term that Hardt and his colleague Toni Negri came up with. The article is suggesting a system that works on a horizontal module within it's distributed network. The horizontal working system (or the Bazaar module, form the book "The Cathedral and the Bazaar), Hardt says, has a flexible and autonomous feel, where everyone can work without differences. If worked on effectively, this system can produce a powerful alternative to the existing one. If we program ourselves into working within such a horizontal framework, we too will be a part of the larger decision makings, and power. Hardt is very optimistic about this approach to the next emerging power.
