Why is it that I am doing, trying out, being drawn to questions of materiality (of the web)

I think materiality, looking up close reveals

1. ways of being, using, perceiving that are taken for granted
2. thinking of communication/ media: imbalances of power and agency are inherent to underlying structures
   1. looking at materialities gives a possibility to dissect elements, layers and their relation
3. from a practical approach I enjoy to dig, look at things up close, start from a detail and work myself to a larger picture

And what is my own standpoint?

Am I designer (commissions, visual), researcher (meta, text), artist (self initiated projects) or ...
